envisioning sustainability

so, here is what you've been waiting for!! ... or what i've been waiting for at least :P

these photos represent the fruits of much labour. they aren't of the highest quality, but they are special all the same. they are from the public forum that Clearing a Path held last tuesday - Envision Sustainability at UW. we had the new dean of ES introduce the night, then awesome jean andrey gave a keynote address on the topic of sustainability. we managed to pack the ES couryard with faculty, staff, students, and even a few people from the community! about 50 in all.

the bottom picture is of darcy higgins, giving a warm welcome to all who attended and going over the night's agenda. the top is of amber and darcy parks giving a presentation on campus sustainability offices and our group's plans to get one for UW.

it was an awesome night, and i am really proud of the whole thing! if you want to learn more about it, contact clearing_a_path @ hotmail.com or go to http://imprint.uwaterloo.ca/story.php?f=2&t=8294&i=&v=f&story=8294

golden

why is it that distance makes things look better? what makes the heart grow fonder? is the unattainable really better than whats right under our noses? is this my golden opportunity?

who knows... i sure as hell don't.

little umbrellas

yesterday my housemates and i hosted a rad beach party. however, im pretty sure that getting all of our accessories and decorations together was almost as much fun as the party itself! between the palm trees, tiki men, beach ball, and little umbrellas we definitely had our hands full! it was quite enjoyable though...
